Browser widget integrations

We have developed a Browser Widget Integration for both Chrome and Firefox. The Timeneye Browser widget lets you track time from the tools you are already using and in any other place, wherever you are on the web.


The Timeneye Extension integrates with the following Tools:


What does the Widget do?
By adding the widget to your browser, you'll be able to track time wherever you are on the web.

In addition, the widget adds a little Timeneye button in all of the services listed above, so that you can track time without having to switch between apps.

How to install the Timeneye Extension

  1. For Google Chrome: click here to install the Timeneye Chrome Extension.
  2. Click “Add to Chrome”.
  3. Click the Timeneye button next to the address bar on your browser and log in with your Timeneye account.
    Easy peasy! Now you'll find a small clock icon inside your favorite web apps and start tracking time without leaving them.

PLEASE NOTE:

Make sure to enable Third party cookies so that the widget can work inside Chrome

  1. For Mozilla Firefox : click here to install the Timeneye Widget for Firefox;
  2. Click "Add";
  3. Click on the Timeneye icon on your browser and log in to your account.

Once you've installed the Timeneye Chrome Extension, a Timeneye icon will appear next to the address bar of your browser.

This is how the button looks in your browser after you've installed it:



The green badge shows the number of active timers (in this case 1):



When the badge becomes black it means that you have paused timers:

When you click the Timeneye Extension a "Register Time" window appears:



Here you can register time manually or start a timer, stop timers and see the list of your time entries where you can copy, edit or delete them.

If the tool you are on integrates with the Timeneye Browser Widget, you will find a little Timeneye panel (in Asana, Basecamp 2/3, ClickUp, Gitlab, Pivotal Tracker, Trello, and Zendesk Support):



Or a little clock icon (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Podio, Todoist; Wunderlist); 



Clicking the link will start a new timer: if the projects and tasks in the tool are also inside Timeneye, the system will automatically match them with the one in Timeneye. The description will be added under the "More Info" section. 



Depending on the tools, the exact location of the “Start timer” icon will be different. It is likely to be within your tasks, cards or to-dos.
